Hollowtips is a Los Angeles California based cannabis lifestyle brand that cultivates, packages, and markets their high quality cannabis products. With it’s slogan ‘Expand Your Mind’, Hollowtips approaches the market in a classy and luxurious way to stand out from their competitors.

Project Scope

When Kanna Creative collaborated with Hollowtips, they were planning to expand into more dispensaries across Southern California, and needed to showcase both current and future products.

Traditionally Hollowtips was mainly in the market of Delta 9 Distillate cartridges, and their goals were to build out their flower bud packaging line across multiple products like blunts, joints, and flower.

Branding

Hollowtips had standard brand guides already in place, and with their unique luxurious approach to cannabis packaging. Every step was meticulously created with care when developing their unique packaging lines from blunts, joints, to display boxes.

Special print techniques like gold foil, embossing, debossing, and spot UV were used to stand out, but also to prevent scammers from copying their packaging. They leaned into it with authentications for customers to know when they have real Hollowtips products.

Buckshot Blunts // Logo & Packaging Development

Continuing with the Hollowtips branding, they needed to develop a new line of packaging for their blunts. This required a new logo to stand unique from their other flower products, while still keeping the same established labeling.

We started with a discovery session first so I could understand all of their needs. What they’re trying to accomplish and the resources behind it.

Not only was this a packaging to buy high quality product, it was also developed to serve as a functional purpose to lay flat as a rolling tray.

It initially started as a clear case, and when printing issues prevented from reaching the quality intended, a thicker cardboard direction was developed. Sparing no expense with gold foil, embossed, debossed, with double sided print, the new Hollowtips packaging branding was born.
